Anna Burleigh, food buyer Selfridges, London:
"I am happy to be here. I take part in many sector fairs all over the world and Taste is the best: not just one of the best organized, but also the one with the greatest number of excellent artisan companies. The energy is incredible! At this edition I was looking for products - like tea, biscuits, oil and balsamic vinegar, honey and marmalade – with a high quality and innovative design and a twist in the packaging or in the presentation. Our target group is Millennials and I found many truly interesting proposals. I always spend two days at the Stazione Leopolda and I dedicate the third one to visiting the companies as well as the food boutiques in the center of Florence. Taste is truly an unmissable rendezvous!"

Jean-Luc Vila, Chief Culinary and Plant Operations Officer Bateel, Dubai:
"This is the first time I have taken part in Taste and I have just one question: why did I never come before? I take part in lots of fairs in the food world but Taste outdoes them all: small but of the highest quality, a concentrate of craft and non industrial products that represent exactly what I was looking for. I was interested in products like rice, biscuits, oil, balsamic vinegar and cheese and I discovered many companies which, in addition to presenting good products, are able to tell a story and that is what the market is increasingly demanding. The talks were interesting, like the bread school and the shop was wonderful where I was able to purchase the products of the companies that had captured my curiosity."

Dino Borri, Eataly:
"I hadn’t taken part in Taste for a couple of years. It has become the most stunning food event for small producers. The quality is very high, it is a fair that it is always a pleasure to visit thanks to Pitti Immagine’s great organization and the beauty of the location, the Stazione Leopolda. The calendar of events was also very interesting, the formula of the Rings with Davide Paolini and the figures from the catering world – Tuscan and not - is a winner. Then there’s Fuori di Taste that encompasses the whole city and allows foreign buyers to come into contact with a unique setting like Florence."

Sandy e Tomoko Watanabe, Sanyo Enterprises, Giappone:
"We have taken part in all the sector fairs in Italy but this is absolutely the best for finding high quality products! We were looking above all for producers of tea, hazelnuts, salt and fish and we found several interesting companies that we will visit in the next few days. We were also very pleased to take part in the conferences, all of which were very interesting. We will definitely be coming back!"
