WHO WE ARE
Azienda Agricola Turco was born in Lesina in the early 80s with Luigi Turco, a farmer by passion and tradition.
In this small corner of paradise surrounded by nature, the flat land and the brackish water of the Lake of Lesina offer favorable conditions for high quality crops.
Here the Turco family is mainly dedicated to the cultivation of Salicornia and ORGANIC Tomatoes in all its forms. Capitanata's red gold finds its ideal habitat in this fertile land, thus becoming the company's flagship product.
Since 2016, thanks to the contribution of the two sons Michele and Gianluca, the work of our company has also extended to the production of high quality artisan preserves. The idea comes from the desire to keep alive the tradition of home-made "sauce" and to bring a good, healthy and genuine product to the tables. ORGANIC certified and free of additives.
The experience gained in the field and constant control over all stages of production, from sowing to bottling, are the basic requirements to obtain a superior quality product.
A peculiarity of our productions is the use of brackish water from the aquifers, for the irrigation of the land in the last phase of ripening. In particular for the tomato it turns out to be an enormous added value from a qualitative point of view. The salt contained in the water helps to balance the natural acidity of the tomato, limits the size of the fruit and thus increases the concentration of the juices inside (brix degree). The result is an intense and extraordinarily sweet taste!
