Buyers Select focuses on key buyers, who share their favorite pieces from Pitti Connect brands.

Continuing our Buyers Select section, we turn our heads to the Northern Hemisphere’s leading authorities in the realm of luxury menswear. One such notable heavyweight is Harry Rosen, one of Canada’s most iconic luxury retailers, of which Shannon Stewart is Chief Product Officer. There, Stewart oversees the Buying team, and the curation of merchandise both in-store and online. She is responsible for bringing to Canada a meticulous selection of world-class brands and products to address all occasions the contemporary man’s wardrobe ought to cater to — thus assisting all clients in feeling their best.
Ahead of this year’s Pitti Imagine Uomo, we speak with Stewart as she gives us her essential menswear brand staples of the season.
BRUNELLO CUCINELLI

Although double-breasted suits are not the easiest sale, I truly appreciate the soft elegance of this suit and the tonal colors of the coordination. This would be a perfect piece for a summer wedding.
FILIPPO DE LAURENTIIS

We are seeing a lot of pastels for SS22 — a soft pink crewneck is a fresh item to work into any existing wardrobe, as it can be so effortlessly coordinated with cream, grey, and even navy.

PAUL&SHARK

Blue and white stripes are one of my favorite patterns in summer knitwear. I love the exaggerated drawstring on the Paul&Shark sweater hood.

RE-HASH

The tone on tone coordination of this washed cotton top and short really speaks to the ease of the spring-summer season. It is such an effortlessly chic look.

TREULEBEN

This is such an elegant document holder or laptop case. The dolphin color is also so rich for spring.

BRANDBLACK

We are seeing so many interesting hybrid trainer-hiking shoes. The design of this one caught my eye, as the sole is reminiscent of a woven espadrille.

TEN C

This taped seam windbreaker is incredibly executed – it almost looks like an X-ray of an outerwear piece.  It’s a very cool look and also extremely functional.

KITON

This color combination is so striking – bright cobalt blue and tobacco is such a sophisticated way to inject colour into a spring/summer wardrobe.
GRAN SASSO

I like that this fine gauge knit t shirt is dressy and polished – it would be great under a jacket but looks equally good on its own.
