Teddy VonRanson’s classic American designs fuse East and West coast aesthetics with a European savoir-faire

Exhibitors Spotlight focuses on a selection of brands exhibiting at this year's Pitti Uomo, showcasing their upcoming collections and special upcoming projects.

This season, menswear design has traversed a continuous celebration of heritage brought into contemporaneity. However, if sartorial upgrades and reboots are very much of the moment, they don’t come in the shape of radical overhauls — instead, perhaps more than ever, the focus lies in fine-tuning, with painstaking attention to detail. Be it via a subtly updated color palette, or the increasing use of sustainable fabrics, legacy menswear is transitioning into the future, whilst honoring and repurposing fragments of its past.

In line with the traditional yet forward-looking menswear zeitgeist, and drawing on nearly two decades of experience working at the very epicenter of American high-fashion, designer and former Ralph Lauren alum Teddy von Ranson’s eponymous label aims to define new American classics which capture modern American life — equally influenced by East and West Coast, with strong references to European savoir-faire.

Once separate and distinct, East Coast and West Coast sensibilities merge in the brand’s latest collections, which, combined with the subtly infused flavor of European aesthetics, constructs a wholly new identity — thus redefining American classics with resolute nods to its history.

Ambassador of a revamped and finessed new masculine American style, Teddy von Ranson’s vision is anchored in modernity, with consideration for the key precepts he worked with for most of his career: longevity, timelessness, and style. As such, Teddy VonRanson’s SS22 collection features actor and model Hart Denton and is rooted in quality, and a detail-oriented approach to design. Reflecting his consumers’ values of exclusivity and style, Teddy Vonranson’s attire includes classics, outerwear, tailoring, shirts and knits, denim, and sportswear — a sartorial polymath of the contemporary age.
