Home Sweet Home, Canadian Classics Elevates Your WFH Mood

Exhibitors Spotlight focuses on a selection of brands exhibiting at this year's Pitti Uomo, showcasing their upcoming collections and special upcoming projects.

An outerwear brand that allows you to express your uniqueness, Canadian Classics is inspired by the lifestyle of Canadian metropolises. Focused on versatile collections that seamlessly complement seasonal coffee runs and rugged outdoor activities alike, the brand’s pieces feature premium materials, produced with nuanced research regarding fit and patterns.
Simone Ponziani, owner and CEO of Artcrafts International speaks on the upcoming collection:

“We designed this collection with a deep awareness of how WFH will affect the wardrobe of the future. Working from home means you’re wearing relaxed outfits more and more. When it’s time to get out to the grocery or to pick up kids at school, you don’t want to change that outfit, but just put on something and turn it into a fashion statement. That’s where our oversized, vivid-colored puff jackets enter the scene to do the job.”

A reinvention of the down jacket, the brand’s FW 21 collection interprets the silhouette as a canvas, realized in new forms. As 2020 solidified the WFH aesthetic, relaxed pieces have become increasingly popular. Without compromising on style, the brand’s oversized down jackets are perfect for relaying a cozy attitude.
A classic piece, the style is reimagined as an expressive garment with re-evaluated dimensions. Paying homage to artists and dancers, the jacket features a lightweight shell that envelops the wearer in a delicate embrace with no constriction Colour is used with expressive and decisive fusions, including chromatic gradients and matte finishes.
Night-life is featured via character-led accents such as reflective detailing, designed to create an endearing shimmering effect.

With a focus on sustainability, Simone Ponziani expands on the brand’s dedication to the process:

“Our approach to sustainability is to go beyond it and keep the focus on design. That means the materials have to be sustainable but still look consistent in our style discourse. In other words, we’re aiming to create jackets that are state of the art in terms of sustainability but look as design-minded as we want them to be. With this in mind, we launched the Green Glamour series.”
