Founded in 1886 in Ascoli Piceno, Pantofola D'Oro grew to prominence after Emidio Lazzarini took over the business from his father. As a wrestler, Lazzarini created a shoe that was softer and more comfortable than his. The word soon got around, and many other wrestlers commissioned him to make custom shoes for them as well. The brand went on to make shoes for other athletes, including football players, earning the prestigious name of 'the golden slipper’.
For its FW21 collection, Pantofola d'oro’s new sneaker combines innovative construction with a template from the brand’s archives. Inspired by a vintage design conceptualized by founder Emidio Lazzarini, the football boot-inspired silhouette was retrieved from the shelves of the company's headquarters. Designed with a long, turned-down tongue, the detail is a nod to football boots of the 1980s. The shoe also features a unique technical solution that enables the removal of the tongue, and some versions developed with eco-friendly alternatives such as eco-leather, a feature of the brand's latest collections.

Finished with extremely light and comfortable Vibram soles, the 3D design of the distinctive wings at the upper is inspired by the outdoor world. 

A seamless take on an archive silhouette, the footwear fuses the relaxed, comfort-led design of sportswear with the considered aesthetics of luxury footwear styles. Taking the DNA of football, the shoe provides comfort from the terrace to the city.
