Talking heads: conversations about menswear and lifestyle at the Show Box

Fashion to wear, but also fashion to talk about (and listen to). Pitti Uomo 95 is inaugurating “Talking Heads”, a programme of talks and one-to-one conversations with international experts in menswear and lifestyle. The meetings will be held in the Show Box, in front of the Central Pavilion, an innovative interpretation of the guiding theme of this edition: “The Pitti Box”.
Every day at 10 am, a regular appointment with Jeremy Kirkland, the voice behind the unmissable BLAMO! podcast.The curator will converse with some of the most interesting and dynamic personalities in the fashion world: Michael Hill, creative director of the historic London brand Drake’s (Tuesday 8); Scott Schuman, fashion photographer and founder of the fashion blog The Sartorialist (Wednesday 9); Nick Wooster, designer and eclectic protagonist of the evolution of menswear (Thursday 10); and last but not least, Pino Luciano of Orazio Luciano, the Neapolitan tailor-made clothing brand (Friday 11).

In addition, for the duration of the fair, many other names will take to the “Talking Heads” stage. Konrad Olsson, editor-in-chief of Scandinavian Man, will chat with Andreas Palm, founder of the men’s underwear brand CDLP, and Asger Juel Larsen of Unridden. Ivan Carvalho, journalist for Monocle, and Filipe Prata from Daily Day and Lagofra will give a talk on the Portuguese fashion scene. Giampiero Baudo of Esquire Italia will converse with Francesco Tombolini from the Italian Chamber of Fashion Buyers and with Maria Luisa Frisa, director of the Degree in Fashion Design at the IUAV University in Venice. And finally, a talk with Alessandra Turra, fashion editor at WWD, in conversation with the top Spanish buyer Gabriela van Eerdewijk from the Madrid concept store Lamarca.
