Sonia Delaunay's rainbows by Oriana Picceni - Style Piccoli
Sonia Delaunay. Una vita a colori [A life of color], by Cara Manes, with illustrations by Fatinha Ramos (Fatatrac/Moma)

Sonia Delaunay is one of the most innovative and interesting figures of 20th-century art. Inspired by bright colors and abstract shapes, her creativity blended art with fashion and design, spreading the idea that art can touch every aspect of our daily lives. Her passion for color and its communicative potential, on canvas and in life, still influences many collections today. And it found its way into the next autumn-winter wardrobe with a pinch of irony and a good dose of joy, between lively textures and bold contrasts, geometric shapes and splashes of color.

I am passionate about children’s literature, art, design, fashion, illustration, theater, and anything that can spark the imagination. I became a journalist for the love of stories. I like meeting people, listening to them, and writing about them. You can read me in the pages of Style Piccoli or the colored clouds of my blog Spinginuvole (www.spinginuvole.it), a crossroads of stories, projects, and ideas. If I am not reading, writing, or cooking tarts, you are sure to find me in the mountains, where I am working on the new edition of the children’s literary festival Un Ponte di Storie (www.unpontedistorie.it)
