July 16 - October 9, 2020

In this unprecedented and challenging international scenario, the Pitti Connect platform has responded to the practical needs of the moment, anticipating the use of features and tools designed to be launched in January 2021, as an integration to the physical fairs.

With Pitti Connect, we have offered an innovative, effective resource with great potential. And during the summer edition of the Pitti Immagine fairs, we involved 543 brands.

Thanks to Pitti Connect, the fair has confirmed its position as an international reference point for the yarn industry, as well as a concept lab for the knitwear of the future. We have deployed resources and energy, investing not only on the technological front but also working closely with our community of buyers and editors, and involving international partners who have contributed to generating great contacts and content.

SPAZIO RICERCA

In its digital format, the Spazio Ricerca has exceeded the 7,500 views (both for Italian and English pages).

Its dynamic contents were a fundamental feature, keeping buyers and designers engaged for the entire duration of the fair happening on Pitti Connect.

The general theme, RAY OF LIGHT, expressed through six macro trends, turned the spotlight on the autumn/winter 2021-2022 yarns in three different steps.
  1. The color card: A 360-degree view of the future chromatic evolution of knitwear, for the benefit of creatives and their upcoming moodboards.
  2. Technical insight: a full immersion within the central core of fibers, dyes, knit stitches, effects. Nicola Miller's expert words have restored the tactile quality of the most innovative and experimental yarns, orienting buyers' choices.
  3. The images: Angelo Figus' artistic direction completed the discovery journey with a selection of images ranging from art to design, from ancient to contemporary, expanding, before the visitors' eyes, the potential of the yarns on display with inputs and inspirations from different worlds.
