Dutch Touch Fashion and Music Experience

Dutch Touch is back in Florence for the second time, offering a special cocktail at the Hotel Savoy

After the great success of last January’s DUTCH TOUCH Fashion and Food Experience, there will be a thematic comeback. The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Dutch Fashion Foundation will participate in this year’s Pitti Uomo with the DUTCH TOUCH Fashion and Music Experience, in the Hotel Savoy. a celebration of the Dutch creativity and talents during an inspiring network cocktail. This time Dutch Touch will express itself in an interplay of innovative fashion and avant-garde music.
In Hotel Savoy (Wednesday 8th January from 7pm to 10pm) a dozen Dutch designers of fashion and accessories will present themselves with samples of their latest collections. Among these designers will be labels like Anne-Grethe Filtenborg, Anne de Grijff and Ready to fish by ILJA (womenswear), The Makers and Delikatessen (menswear). Furthermore Christine Alberts (jewellery), Wahts (premium underwear) Jupe (accessories), SeeMe (fair trade jewellery), (womenswear) and Travelteq (smart travelling) will expose their creations.
Special presentations will be given by Elsien Gringhuis (womenswear), the collection Made by Rain by Aliki van der Kruijs and their collaboration project Spirits from the Sky.
The event will be introduced by Michiel den Hond, Ambassador of the Netherlands, and Angelique Westerhof, Director of the Dutch Fashion Foundation.
The musical part will be taken care of by two emerging talents of the rich Dutch music industry. The young DJ and producer Jameszoo will surprise the public with a most sophisticated and coloured mix of styles from jazz to hip hop (www.jameszoo.com). Together with him, Rikkert Brok, part of the duo Optical Machines, will create a fascinating and surprising scenery by using a variety of electronics and analogical synthesizers (www.opticalmachines.nl).
