Who is on Next winner & Pitti Italics: T. Lipop

T.Lipop, the winner, together with Alberto Premi of “WHO IS ON NEXT? UOMO” 2014 – a contest born from the collaboration of Pitti Immagine, AltaRoma and L’Uomo Vogue - will be the star of this edition as Pitti Italics, the Fondazione Pitti Discovery program that promotes and supports new generations of fashion designers who create and produce their work in Italy with a promising international slant. The designer will present his 2015/2016 F/W collection to the international public at Pitti Uomo with a special performance: on Thursday 15 January, at 12.00p.m. in the Dogana.

Winning Who Is On Next? has made it possible for us to acquaint the world with our brand’s creativity that finds its power in attention to detail, original lines and references to tradition” - says Tom Lipop. “Thanks to the support of the promoters and of the sponsors, Fashion Valley, Tomorrow and Yoox, we have been able to take our brand to the next level and we have organized a special fashion show to present our new collection. I hope that this experience can generate greater visibility. And I hope that we can emulate the success of Umit Benan and Andrea Incontri, just to mention two!


The new "Kando we live" collection will be presented through a high impact fashion show entitled “Art of seam_modern/tradition", a reflection on the art of sewing that blends the modern with the traditional.


Pitti Italics is one of the projects featured within Pitti Immagine Uomo that develops the partnership between MINI and Pitti Immagine
. In particular, MINI’s participation at Pitti Uomo will focus on projects dedicated to young up-and-coming brands and the most innovative trends in contemporary men’s fashion.


The T.Lipop collection, from the fabrics to the finished garments, was entirely made in the Prato district – thanks to the sponsorship of Fashion Valley Industry and its support for Who Is On Next? Uomo. The Fashion Valley Industry project, which is sponsored by the Prato Chamber of Commerce with grants from Toscana Promozione and the cooperation of the Cna, Confartigianato and Confindustria Prato, is an innovative platform created to promote the textile/clothing manufacturing chain so that emerging brands and creatives can come into contact with firms capable of producing their collections.
  

T. LIPOP 
A decidedly minimal aesthetic combined with fine fabrics and extremely innovative tailoring: this is the spirit of T.LIPOP, the English ready-to-wear brand established in 2011 by creative head Tom Lipop and his business partner Eser Aydemir. In the “Lipop man”, the concept of less is more is developed through a reinterpretation of contemporary tailoring dictates with elegant lines and deconstructed shapes. www.tlipop.com
