At Pitti Uomo 92

Will be back again as Pitti Italics, telling a story of romanticism and of Florence

Museo Bardini

The Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discovery is continuing its mission of promoting Italian fashion designers who have international stature by presenting FEDERICO CURRADI at the Pitti Uomo 92 as Pitti Italics.

“It’s been a few seasons now that we have been monitoring Federico Curradi’s career path and the development of his creativity that combines urban functionalism, research on fabrics and a marked need for originality”, says Lapo Cianchi Pitti Immagine Director of Communications and Events  and the man in charge of the Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discovery. “His work can be best defined as contemporary styling, and once again, we are very happy to offer him the Pitti Uomo stage and its audience”
Federico Curradi will be back at Pitti Uomo to present the preview of his own label’s men’s collection for S/S 2018 and special event. Wednesday morning, 14 June at the Museo Bardini.
“I chose the Museo Bardini as the venue for my event”, says Federico Curradi, “a place that speaks of history and symbolizes “Florentineness”. My fashion show will tell about a Florence that has many spirits: the craftsmanship traditions, the straightforwardness of the people, romanticism, and the tradition of the calcio in costume. The key figure is the romantic warrior who  embodies the artistic essence of our city”.

Federico Curradi
Federico Curradi was born in Florence in 1975. Following an initial experience with a Florentine tailor-shop, he was just over twenty when he moved to New York where he made a collection of men’s trousers. Next, he designed a collection for the American market and immediately earned the admiration of the Big Apple’s best fashion stores. Upon his return to Italy he was noticed by stylist Ermanno Daelli who put him in charge of the Scervino men’s style office. After that, he was in charge of the Roberto Cavalli men’s collection and then went on to become the creative director of Iceberg Uomo. In January 2016 he launched the first menswear collection of his own label, and became the creative director of the Peuterey Studio line.

The FEDERICO CURRADI special event is part of the Special Program for the 2017 Pitti Immagine Fairs sponsored by the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana and made possible thanks to a grant from the Ministero per lo Sviluppo Economico (MISE – Ministry for Economic Development) and Agenzia ICE (Italian Trade Agency) within the framework of the project supporting Italian trade fairs and Made in Italy.
