125 years of Barbour
‘The best clothing for the worst weather’. Barbour, the famous wax jacket which has become the symbol of casual clothing all over the world, is celebrating 125 years since its establishment.
At Pitti Uomo 95 the large WP area – the brand’s exclusive distributor in Italy – will be entirely dedicated to this anniversary: on display will be a collection specially created by Barbour featuring iconic versions of the brand interpreted in a contemporary style, with both men’s and women’s products. Another area of the stand will be dedicated to the collaboration with the Japanese designer Daiki Suzuki, with a special capsule collection, and the Stormfront line will also be presented which is designed for very rigid temperatures and particularly adverse weather conditions. The backdrop for all the new proposals will be a museum-type area devoted to the iconic lines and garments that have made the brand’s history, with the traditional Tartan.
In order to celebrate such an important anniversary as 125 years since the birth of the company, the Vice-President of Barbour, Helen Barbour, who represents the fifth generation of the brand, will be present at Pitti Uomo to meet the press.
