Les Benjamins: this Turkish brand’s sophisticated urbanwear debuts at Pitti Uomo 91
The Istanbul-based streetwear brand Les Benjamins debuts at Pitti Uomo, choosing this show to present its creative menswear universe and its new retail concept.
Founder and creative director of Les Benjamins, Bunyamin Aydin set up this creative collective in 2011, and it soon stood out from the new creative wave on the Turkish and international scene. Les Benjamins was created to celebrate the diversity of people, their culture, history, religion and language which is reflected in fashion, with fabulous undertones and sophisticated style accents.
Syncretism between east and west, his creations explore the new frontiers of urbanwear, combination of innovative prints – the result of the best digital technologies – and artisan textures and materials. As in any self-respecting collective, this brand too, over time, led to numerous collaborations ranging from the world of art to that of music, mainly hip-hop, receiving awards and compliments from celebs such as Travis Scott, Asap Nast, Jaiden Smith, Cara Delevigne, Woodkid and Rita Ora or the top models Barbara Palvin and Jourdan Dunn.
