Istituto Marangoni gets to the heart of the 91st Pitti Immagine Uomo, in Firenze, with a special project promoted by the Firenze School of Fashion & Art in association with Pitti Immagine. The project foresees the participation of twenty students of the school, who will act as reporters of the new Millenials fashion trends, exploring the role of consumers and influencers of the Y Generation. Their special guide will be the fashion editor, designer and influencer Alessandro Enriquez.
The students will also attend a lecture on “New aesthetics of the front lines: documenting the social media generation in conflict” held by the international renowed photojournalist Guy Martin on 13th Januray at Istituto Marangoni Firenze - The Firenze School of Fashion & Art at 4pm. The war photographer will discuss the influence of the social media generation on revolutionary movements in the Middle East and beyond, and on the culture and aesthetics of photojournalism, as seen through his own work.
Pitti Uomo will also be the occasion to present the new partnership for the whole 2017 between Istituto Marangoni and the brand Cuoio di Toscana. The partnership will be officially announced during a press conference at the Firenze School of Fashion & Art. The main result of the collaboration will be a contest on the theme “the creative development of leather in the shoes’ industry”, open to the students of Istituto Marangoni worldwide. Thanks to the connection between Cuoio di Toscana and Toscana Manifatture, prototypes of shoes will be produced, the best of which will be presented in June at the next Pitti Uomo.
