Irish designer Andrew Bell won the Pitti Immagine Award

With an unprecedented live-streamed award ceremony, on October 23, the international competition dedicated to the most innovative young fashion talents ITS International Talent Support announced the winners of its eighteenth edition, themed Here We Belong, chosen among 32 finalists from 16 countries.

Canadian designer Olivia Rubens, a knitwear specialist with a highly experimental green vocation, took home the main prize, the ITS Responsible Fashion Award powered by Allianz. The Pitti Immagine Award went to Irish-born Andrew Bell, who will receive a 6-month mentorship offered by the Tutoring & Consulting department of Pitti Immagine and the opportunity to participate with his womenswear collection in the 2021 women's fashion and accessories trade event Super, in Milan.

Bell, who also won the OTB award, impressed the Pitti Immagine jury with innovative design engineering, a sustainable approach to materials and manufacturing, and a light, elegant and futuristic interpretation of classic silhouettes. The Future Tailoring concept developed by the designer integrates tradition and cutting-edge technology in a vision that challenges the usual hierarchies of the sartorial universe, materials, and the ideals of ‘luxury’ within fashion.
