And gears up for the 17th edition of the event at the Fortezza da Basso, from 24 to 26 February 2023

Pitti Immagine has acquired the entire share of Danzainfiera srl, the company that owns the brand of the event of the same name, conceived and launched by Alessandro Sanesi's Exposervice in 2006 and which immediately became the key reference in the world of international dance.

The 17th edition of Danzainfiera (Dif) takes place from 24 to 26 February at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence. The upcoming event will be presented under the renewed corporate guise and with a team that, working alongside the people that have organized the show so far, will include the collaboration of the design and operational structure of Pitti Immagine.

"The acquisition of Dif Srl is part of a diversification strategy of the exhibition portfolio in addition to the core fashion events – says Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine – to which our Group is dedicating significant attention. Lifestyle, culture, leisure, and well-being: these sectors have or may have presentation modes similar to those of fashion. Danzainfiera's numbers and positioning are already very interesting. We think there is room for further growth, in quantity and quality, even in the areas where garments and accessories are presented. From another point of view, this move is also a way to show confidence in the potential of the Fortezza da Basso and the Florentine and Tuscan exhibition system as a whole."

Pitti Immagine brings its consolidated experience in the trade fair and events sector and know-how that ranges from fashion to artistic perfumery, gastronomic excellence, and the publishing industry.
“We can activate new synergies and expand the markets - concludes Napoleone - but we also want to maintain the format and spirit that have ensured the originality and success of the show in recent years. We must invest in the mix of professionals, schools, training and specialization institutes, promotional organizations and, of course, young people who are already Dif's most inspiring and precious resource.”
